Educational Motion Graphics for a Mental Health Application

Objective

To create a library of over 50 instructional videos for the AIRS app, a tool created for the Naval Health Resource Center to support the mental wellness of Navy personnel. The goal was to make complex, science-backed stress management techniques accessible and easy to practice.

My Role & Solution

As the lead designer and animator, my role was to translate the scientific curriculum into clear, step-by-step animated guides. Working within the established calm and minimalist visual style, I brought the concepts to life through animation, focusing on clear motion and thoughtful pacing to effectively guide users through each technique.

Key Contributions

  • Instructional Animation: Transformed complex psychological concepts (e.g., resilience training, physiological self-regulation) into clear, step-by-step animated guides.

  • User-Centered Design: Focused on creating a calm and supportive visual tone to enhance the app's therapeutic goals.

  • Content at Scale: Successfully produced a cohesive library of 50+ videos, ensuring a consistent style across all educational modules.

  • End-to-End Production: Managed the creative process from concept and storyboarding through final animation and delivery.
