Focus: Art Direction | Mission Critical UI | Video Editing & Motion Graphics

Translating complex medical protocols into a high-speed, mission-critical visual interface for emergency responders.

  • Paramedics in Los Angeles County require immediate, error-proof access to complex medical protocols during high-stress emergency situations. The objective was to replace outdated reference materials with a mobile application designed for maximum speed, clarity, and reliability in unpredictable field conditions.

  • As the Lead UI Designer, I owned the art direction and visual execution of the application. Collaborating closely with a dedicated UX designer, I translated structural wireframes into a high-fidelity, cognitive-friendly interface. I then built a foundational component library directly within FlutterFlow to ensure an accurate and seamless developer handoff.

    • Mission-Critical UI & Art Direction: Designed a modern, trustworthy interface tailored for a government health application, utilizing high-contrast elements and reduced visual noise to ensure rapid legibility in unpredictable field conditions.

    • Design Systems & Developer Handoff: Built a scalable library of foundational components directly within FlutterFlow, streamlining the engineering process and ensuring exact design consistency in the final build.

    • Post-Production & Motion Titling: Built a tokenized architecture that supports multi-brand theming, allowing for seamless visual adaptation across different products.

    • Motion Graphics & Video Editing: Edited live-action footage for 14 clinical training modules, adding motion graphics and text overlays to ensure complex, step-by-step medical demonstrations were easy to follow.
